Nate & I knew that we did not want a typical AZ wedding at a golf course or resort. Although those places are beautiful, we wanted something unique that really suited our personalities. When we saw the Icehouse, we knew it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. We loved the industrial look with the exposed brick and loved the option of being able to decorate it however we desired. We received so many complements on the venue and many guests said it would be a wedding they will always remember because it was so unique. I could not have asked for a better wedding venue!

When looking for a venue to get married at, my fiancé and I knew that we did not want a traditional Arizona wedding- golf course or hotel. Downtown Phoenix Venues was not only better priced than the traditional venues, but far exceeded anything we could have imagined. DPV was prompt with all emails, easy to work with, and when I had any concerns, they were able to calm me right away! The day of the actual wedding, as I didn’t have a planner, I thought it was going to be a bit hectic, but Riette and her crew were always there making sure that everything was going right at schedule, and all vendors were working together quickly and smoothly. If I had to do it again, I would do it the exact same way!

The Icehouse is an incredible venue for brides and grooms that want to have the freedom to design their own wedding, instead of leaving it in the hands of a golf course, hotel or resort.
Besides the unique atmosphere, industrial vibe and central location, Riette is one of the main reasons we decided to choose the Icehouse for our wedding. She was so professional, understanding, organized and personable which helped make the wedding planning process go so much smoother.
The cathedral room of the Icehouse made the most incredible setting for the ceremony. All of my guests walked in with looks of awe on their faces because of the beautiful and unique design.

I cannot imagine having had my wedding any other place! Riette was such an amazing person to work with and handled so many of the details I could not have thought of. It was great to have an experienced hand around for our special day. She really filled in all of the small details for the ceremony and made everything run so smoothly. The Icehouse was a fabulous place for our wedding. Our coordinator Riette was very attentive throughout the year of planning and had the experience to give excellent suggestions and advice. They were flexible with the vendors we used, so we were able to create the day we wanted without many stipulations. The Icehouse looks great “as is”, but when we added our special touches, it was beautiful and romantic. We were really able to make it what we wanted.

I do events full-time for my church. I have produced large events for 800+ in top venues from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and all across the West US. I got quite a bit a positive feedback from our parishioners on how much they loved the venue and how unique it was. It was refreshing as it was definitely unique and exciting and not in keeping with “the usual” venues one finds in Phoenix. The best part was the friendly staff who were on a more personal level then you being just another client. Both the Event Coordinator and the Bentley Project staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Well what can I say about our wedding experience at MonOrchid….It was what I had always imagine the best day of my life would be like. While obviously my wife and I were caught up in the emotion of the day we each took a moment to recognize what an amazing reception venue we were in. Hosting our corporate client dinner at Bentley Projects gave our firm an opportunity to show our clients the trendy and sophisticated side of Phoenix. We had been searching for a venue with a depth of culture and history; BP allowed us to mold its art nirvana into a space that felt like our own while still embracing its character and roots.
The gallery’s mix of local and nationally acclaimed artists added a fun and lively contemporary vibe to the event. The art opportunely engaged us to utilize the whole space, as guests ventured around to find their favorite piece.
The staff at Bentley Projects is as unique and distinctive as the space itself. Private Event Coordinator, Riëtte Pretorius in particular was a delight to work with. She was accommodating, flexible, and did not fluster throughout the entire planning process. Riëtte is sincerely passionate about the space she represents. Her guidance and expertise were instrumental in creating a smooth evening despite the short (one-week) lead time. Preparator Craig Randich was equally impressive, as he mingled around the event gently educating interested guests about the pieces they were seeing.
Two words to describe our experience at Bentley Projects: simply impressive. Our firm will definitely be returning for future events.

We recently held our first fundraiser at Monorchid and could not think of a more unique venue to have chosen. We continuously hear how nice it was to have an event some where “different”, it was a nice change of pace for those who regularly attend events at country clubs and hotels. We were able to use the white walls of the gallery to display our presentation and video, which was a great use of space and made it visible to all our guest.
Riette was awesome to work with, from start to finish she was there to help and make our event memorable for everyone involved. The event was a hit and with her assistance raised the bar high for our next one; we will definitely be looking forward to working with Riette for future events.

We chose Monorchid to host our daughter’s wedding because the building’s design is absolutely inspiring. We were smitten from the first moment, owner/architect, Wayne Rainey introduced us to the steel, spiral staircases and exposed wooden rafters; thru the final moment when they rolled open a huge side gate, revealing a starry sky, and our daughter escaped, hand-in-hand, with her new husband.
